I graduated in 1961. actually, graduating is a  misnomer as I  spent 3 years in grade 10 as school to me at this time was a social event only. I immediately joined the Canadian army and after 4 years ( 3 yrs. in Germany, where I married my current wife Romy). Immediately after I left the army I completed grade 12 and then started my career at Prentice-Hall of Canada in Scarborough and eventually was promoted through several levels to Distribution and Facilities Manager.

After 23 years at Prentice-Hall I resigned and we bought I restaurant in Owen Sound where we relocated from Uxbridge.  Only had this business for a couple of years, and in 1991 moved to our current home in Nanaimo, BC on beautiful Vancouver Island. I'm semi-retired now and work in sales at a building supplier here in Nanaimo. We have 2 sons.  Darren at 29 is the oldest and works for an engineering firm in Vancouver as a gas pipelines designer.  Our youngest, Ryan, is 26 and is currently unemployed.  Work is very difficult to find on the Island with the shut down of the fishing and logging industry, but He keeps slugging away hoping for the best.

I remember Georgetown with great fondness.  Romy and I attended the GDHS reunion in 1987 and I was delighted to see so many old friends and acquaintances. Old buddies included Barry Harvey, Ross Bairstow, Bob Henderson (now deceased) Old girlfriends included Myra McBain, Linda Pearson. Cherie French and Marjie Stevens. I moved to Georgetown in 1955 from Listowel and attended Wrigglesworth and Harrison public schools.  I lived on the corner of Windsor Rd. and Prince Charles Dr. behind the IGA on Guelph St.  I have not been back since 1990 so I imagine the changes to the town have been considerable.  We intend to buy an RV in a few years and definitely intend to make a trip back.  Brother Roger lives in Brampton and Brother Brian in a small community near Bradford on lake Simcoe. so we still have close ties to Ontario, If a future reunion is planned in a few years I will make a serious attempt to attend. Best wishes to all. Live long and prosper.
