Hello, this is Susan Garland (Brown). My parents moved to Georgetown
when I was 2 years old and still live in the same house on Langstone
Crescent. I attended George Kennedy, Centennial and Georgetown High
schools.
An abbreviated version of my life, after graduating Grade 12, is: married
in 1975 and moved to Brampton, divorced in 1979, remarried in 1982 (and
still happily married), moved to Scarborough, Streetsville then back to
Georgetown in 1988. My husband and I have two wonderful sons who both
attended George Kennedy, Centennial and G.D.H.S.. We also have an adorable
golden retriever named Shylo.
My best friends during my school years were Laura Sweeting and Jill
Blight. Sadly, Laura passed away in 1998. Jill and I met shortly after, to
reminisce, but haven’t kept in touch.
After working in the banking industry for approx. 10 years, I left and
have now been working at Panasonic Canada for 17 years, most recently as
Coordinator in the Document Systems Department.
My husband and I both collect Coca-Cola memorabilia plus, individually, he
collects die cast and I collect teddy bears.
